So here are some pictures of my planet facebook project.

I gave them the template and had them transfer it to the poster. Took about three 45 minute periods to complete (with presentations)

Big things I was looking for were:

-About me section was completely filled…

This is intriguing — I have always found Blackboard limiting.

Probably by state is too big a chunk — rural areas everywhere likely slower than urban

Chart 2 is U.S. respondents with a Bachelors

I’m most worried about the 22% in the second chart…somebody wasted big bucks on their education.

A thought-provoking TED talk from Arthur Benjamin on the need to emphasize statistics over calculus in secondary math education. Not sure if it should be a replacement, but definitely need to emphasize. What do you think?
